Warmer Christmas Weekend Forecast – Wednesday Video

Welcome to Winter!   The Winter Solstice. (Winter began at 4:44AM CST)   Dense fog is the BIG issue this morning, but sunshine will eventually break though.  Another cool front is approaching but this one may not have any showers with it when it gets here.  Are you ready for an unseasonably warm Christmas weekend? Maybe another batch of cold air before the new year arrives.   I’ve been tweaking the holiday forecast for you, plus a look ahead to a more active time next week.

Christmas Day will be rather warm.  Perhaps low 70’s.  But, not as warm as last year. Remember?  We had 80 for a high.  Close to the record of 81.

Take a look at this graph.  The is is the Euro model for the next 10 days.  It shows the Big Christmas Weekend Warm-up.  Late week rain next week around Thursday, and then sharply colder before the New Year arrives.

Here’s the Christmas Day Weather Map.  Storm system just west of us should stay away.  Rain chances 20% or less.  Scattered showers arrive Monday.
