TUESDAY PM RAIN UPDATE: – No Improvement Anytime Soon

A persistent, relentless, light to moderate rain continues to fall across much of central and south Alabama, as an upper level low, west of the state, tracks eastward.  Not only has the rain been steady, future radar suggests no improvement any time soon.  In fact, it will continue this evening and overnight tonight, probably into morning rush hour tomorrow, before diminishing to spotty showers.  Total rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.50” here in central Alabama, and up to 2.00 – 2.50” across south Alabama can be expected.  He best news is…it’s just rain.  No severe weather is expected.

What happens next?:  Soaring temperatures are in our future for Thursday and Friday, before sharply cooler air returns for the weekend.  I’ll run it all down on your next video, tomorrow morning at 5.  Take it easy out there.  Lots of ponding on the roadways.
