Chilly Start – Weather Changes This Week – Coastal Storm System –Monday Video

Good morning!  Yesterday was the coolest day in 6 months, and we are even colder this morning.  How long will the “coolness” hang on?  I’ll walk you through a very interesting week ahead.  The pattern looks more and more like true fall pattern.  A developing Gulf Coastal storm system could have a big effect on our late week weather.  Is there another shot cool air on the menu for the weekend ahead?  We’ll also look ahead to Halloween week on your Monday morning personal weather briefing.

COLDEST start of the season so far, with low 40’s all the way down into south Alabama.  Should be a picture postcard perfect Fall day with sunshine and a high near 71.  Not quite as cold tonight.  Low 51.

Weather changes later in the week as a Gulf Coast storm system brings a good chance of rain Thursday, Thursday night, and lingering into early Friday, before much cooler air funnels in behind the storm.

That developing coastal storm will track along the coast Thursday in through Friday and then up the US east coast as a significant Nor’easter.  Most of the heaviest rain will probably stay just south of the Gulf coast.

The EURO model shows the best rain chance Thursday through Thursday night into Friday.  Much cooler air follows the storm.  Another cold front is on the menu for Halloween week, too.
