Risk of Showers Will Increase – WEDNESDAY Video

Good Morning! Welcome to May.  We are into our warmest days of the year so far, and we’re going to start getting a taste of those random PM storms over the next couple of days.  Do you have weekend outdoor plans?  Showers will increase by Friday/Saturday as a front approaches.  I have the updated rain chances for here and the Gulf Coast.  Plus, I’ll show you how much rain could fall.

The big storms stay well west of us today, but some random, isolated PM pop up storms will affect a few lucky towns today and tomorrow.  A little sample of that upcoming summer pattern.

An approaching frontal system will begin to enhance the rain chance on Friday and particularly Saturday and Saturday evening.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms.  No indications of a severe weather threat.

Rain chances begin to ramp up a little higher Friday into Saturday, Saturday night and through parts of Sunday, before drier air arrives.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms at the Beach.  Nothing widespread.  Highs in the upper 70’s.  Gulf water now at 76.
