Dorian Near Carolina Coast – Very Hot & Dry Pattern For Alabama – FRIDAY Video

Good Morning!  As Dorian continues to batter coastal North Carolina, our Alabama story continues to be VERY Hot for the next few days, as the search for raindrops goes on.  How hot?  How long?  And, when will rain return to our forecast?  I have an update on the weekend and we’ll look into the rain chance for next week.  I have an update on the tropics where we are still tracking at least 4 tropical systems.

 

Still Hot & Dry today. As Dorian heads northeastward, that heat in the middle of the country expands eastward.

Heat index gets close to the 105 danger range Saturday.

Early this morning at 5AM EDT Hurricane Dorian with 90 mph winds is located just 25 miles east of Cape Lookout, NC, moving NE at 14.  Look where it will be tomorrow at 2PM!

This map shows Dorian’s incredible and long trek through the tropical Atlantic to the Bahamas to the NC coast.

 

 

Hot and Dry through the weekend.  Widely scattered storms are possible Monday through Wednesday.

Tropics are still busy.  Dorian.  Gabrielle could become a hurricane this weekend and two Invests, plus one Area To Watch.   BUSY..

Updated Drought Monitor map.  Several more dry days will not help the look of this map.  Drought conditions continue in spots.
