EARLY MORNING UPDATE:

Happy Friday!  Did you get any rain at your house yesterday?  The odds of encountering one of those random pop-up storms will get a little better today and through Sunday, but still your odds of getting a downpour are about 50/50.  Two words: Hot & humid summarize the forecast.  So, what about Cristobal, as it heads for the northern Gulf coast this weekend.  How will Cristobal effect Alabama?  Which days will we see the best chance of rain.  I have the updated track forecast from the National Hurricane Center.  Your video this morning originates from Orange Beach.

Routine June weather today.  Heat index getting close go 100.  Random Scattered PM Storms for some lucky towns.

Generous supply of those random PM Storms through Sunday.  Rain from Cristobal will ramp up the rain chance Monday and Tuesday.

High rip current risk at the beach through the weekend.  Rain chances get better every day, especially Sunday and Monday due to Cristobal’s track.

Cristobal is just a weak tropical depression this morning over the Yucatan.  It will be over land for about 12-18 more hours before emerging over the Gulf.  It will become a tropical storm again, and grow stronger, as it accelerates northward toward the northern Gulf coast by Sunday evening, and Sunday night.
