Isolated PM Storms – Hotter Late Week – MONDAY Video

Good Morning!  There were a few impressive afternoon thunderstorms in east central Alabama yesterday, and some more widely scattered storms will pop up today and tomorrow, especially across the eastern counties.  What about the rest of the week? Summer officially begins Saturday, and Alabama will start heating up in a big way later this week.  I have your updated details for the week ahead, through Father’s Day.

Circulation around an Upper Low will be the spark for so e spotty storms again today.

Once again today, the best rain chance will be across the eastern counties.

Some stronger storms are possible in east Alabama.  A marginal Severe Risk begins at the Georgia border.

Rain chance remains mostly small and spotty this week.  We start  heating up late week, and especially this weekend.

A building upper ridge will spell some hotter days this weekend.  Perhaps mid 90’s Saturday and Father’s Day Sunday.

The Summer solstice is Saturday.

The tropics are quiet this week.
