SUNDAY UPDATE: Cold Front Sweeps Through – Much Cooler Tonight

Good morning!  A Cold front will sweep through central Alabama this morning and into SE Alabama this afternoon.  You feel the difference tonight.  It will be much cooler, as that will set the stage for a series of cool days, and chilly jacket-weather nights in the week ahead.  There could even be a stray shower as the front moves through today. Otherwise, we will be dry for several days. Looks like the next storm system will be Thanksgiving week, sometime perhaps in the middle of the week.  Too early for details.  Looks interesting.

TODAY:  Cloudy this morning.  Can’t rule out a stray shower this morning with the frontal passage.  South wind 5 to 15+ will shift to northwest behind the front.  Clearing this afternoon.  Clear and cold tonight.   Low 43 by morning.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   Cool days and chilly jacket weather nights.  Dry.  No rain.  Lots of sun.  Two of the coldest mornings will be Wednesday and Thursday.

Good news.  Warming trend as closer to the next weekend.

Don’t take this to the bank yet. Could there be a Thanksgiving Week storm system.  This is the GFS.  This could change, of course.  This is 10 days from now.

TROPICS:  Now Hurricane IOTA with 80 mph wind, could go through a rapid intensification cycle today and tomorrow, before slamming into Central America, perhaps as a Major Cat 4 hurricane.  I’m sorry to say this, but I fear the potential for a large loss of life, like ETA a few days ago.

I’ll have a complete video update in the morning.  Enjoy your Sunday.
