Welcome to June – Showers/storms Return This Week – TUESDAY Video

Good Morning!   Welcome to June.  Today is the first day of Meteorological Summer, and the first day of the 2021 Hurricane Season.  After a nearly perfect Holiday Weekend, changes are on the way in the week ahead.  Today will be a warmer day, with just a little more humidity.  Rain chances are not zero but quite small.  The risk for scattered showers and thunderstorms will start to increase for the rest of the week.  Looks like a very summer-like pattern through the upcoming weekend.  I’ll update the rain chances for you and show you which areas are likely to see the most rain.

Today will be just a little hotter. A little more humid. Rain chances are generally 20% or less. Typical first day of June.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are back in the forecast this week, especially Thursday through Sunday.

Rainfall in the week ahead will be heaviest across the northwest half of the state.

The tropics are quite today on this first day of the hurricane season. Next name on the list this year is Bill. The season continues until November 30.

Today is the first day of Meteoritical Summer. Summer officially begins on Father’s Day…June 20th.
