Big Changes – Front Brings Showers/storms – Much Cooler Weekend – THURSDAY Video

Good Morning!  Our string of nice days is ending as a strong cold front approaches.  The front will bring showers, and possibly a few thunderstorms today and this evening.  The front will pass through tonight.  Friday will be noticeably cooler.  The weekend will be breezy and cool.  We could be close to a freeze in much of the area by Sunday morning.  Looks like an extended stretch storm-free days after today.  On this video, I have updated the highs and lows, and we’ll look ahead into next week.

Warm today. Risk of showers and maybe a thunderstorm. The main line of showers/storms arrives into central Alabama, a little after sunset, along the Cold Front itself. Cooler tonight. Low 50

Friday will be noticeably cooler. Upper 60’s instead of upper 70’s. Saturday, behind a second reinforcing cool front, highs will be in the upper 50’s.

The coldest morning will be Sunday. At Dawn many central Alabama towns will be close to the First Freeze of the season. The average date of the First Freeze is November 18th. First freeze last year was November 30th.

For the third weekend in a row, get ready for some much cooler Fall air. We should see an extended string of storm-free days after today.

Another front moves through in about a week.
