Dry & Warm through Weekend – WET & Active Next Week – FRIDAY Video

Good Morning!  DENSE FOG will be a big issue for the morning commute. After the fog lifts, expect another remarkable Spring-like December Day.  In fact, this string of dry, mid 70’s days will be around through the weekend.  After that the party is over.  Get ready for a very wet & active week, next week.  We certainly need the rain.  The Drought Monitor now has some yellow Dry areas in parts of Alabama.  On this video, I’ll show you how much rain could fall.  We’ll look ahead.

Dense Fog will be widespread this morning, and it will certainly be a major issue through 8AM. Visibility a quarter of a mile or less in spots.

AFTER the Fog…look for another day of Spring-like Warmth. Mid 70’s today. Near 50 tonight. Great weather for all the Christmas festivities in various towns… including the State Tree Lighting this evening and the Prattville parade tonight.

Warm & Dry Weekend. Highs in the mid 70’s. ENJOY it. Things will change radically next week. Wet & active.

Hang on. Spring-like warmth through Sunday. Warm & Dry through the weekend. Periods of rain and thunderstorms practically every day next week as a series of disturbances move through the area.

Rainfall next week could be significant. The models vary on who might see the most rain. So, here’s a Blend or Average of the model solutions. Totals on this map look conservative. Could be heavier amounts.

We need the rain. Stage one Drought (Dry)…in many Alabama locations now, after a drier than normal November.
