Chilly Day – Another Freeze Tonight – Late Week Warming – TUESDAY Video

Good Morning!   A  cold, sub-freezing start this morning will lead to another sunny, rather chilly January day.  And, we’re headed for another freeze tonight.  Temperatures will moderate by late week.  We’re dry through Friday.  The next storm system will bring rain and thunderstorms into the state Saturday, followed by another shot of much colder air on Sunday.  On this video, I’ll fill in the details through the weekend and beyond.  Could we see a true arctic outbreak before this month is over?

Expect a very Chill January day today, compared to normal. There will still be a breeze, but not as strong as yesterday. We’re headed for another freeze tonight.

Headed for yet another freeze tonight.

Below normal through Wednesday. Moderation Thursday & Friday. Storm system brings rain back to the forecast Saturday & Saturday night. Much colder again on Sunday.

Complicated weekend storm system. Models do not agree on the details.

Here’s the model trend next 10 days. Late week moderation. Sharply colder again Sunday.

The GFS model hints at an Arctic Outbreak before this month is over. Should we believe this? Not yet. Too far out. Is it possible? It’s going to happen at some point, but who knows about the timing.
