Good Morning! Welcome to the first weekend in June. I’m happy to say there’s no surprises in our weather over the next few days. Certainly no “big ticket” weather in the week ahead.
There will be a small chance of some left-over random storms today, but it will not be quite as hot, as a weak front drifts through the area on its way to the coast. Behind the front, the humidity will be slightly less on Saturday. Then, it’s back to that summertime normal Sunday through Tuesday. Heat, humidity and a few random storms. By mid-week, we should be looking at our hottest days of the year with middle 90’s possible.
Tropical Trouble in the Gulf. Potential Tropical Cyclone one. Tropical Storm Warning for parts of Florida. Fortunately, not a problem for Alabama.

NEXT FEW DAYS: The humidity will be slightly less on Saturday. Then, it’s back to that summertime normal Sunday through Tuesday. Heat, humidity and a few random storms. Widely scattered afternoon & evening storms, mainly in the afternoon & evening. By mid-week, we should be looking at our hottest days of the year with middle 90’s possible.

BEACH FOREAST: Fairly routine forecast. Good bit of sunshine. Widely scattered afternoon & evening storms, mainly in the afternoon & evening. Best chance of rain is today…Friday.. 40%. Highs in the 80’s. Gulf water temperature 81.
POTENTIAL TROPICAL CYCLONE ONE: Center of the disturbance is now 420 SW of Fort Myers, moving northeast at 6 mph. Air Force Recon was unable to determine a fully closed circulation. So, even though the disturbance has Tropical Storm Force wind of 40 mph, it can’t be classified as a true Tropical Storm yet. Tropical storm warnings are in effect for the west coast of Florida. The system will be moving across Florida and into the Atlantic over the next day or two. If it gets a name, it will be Alex.
