SATURDAY UPDATE: Storms Few & Far Between – Hot & Humid

Good Morning!  Today’s update is brief, but only because the forecast is rather routine. Routine is good. After a week of excessive rainfall, finally our weather pattern is settling down to a “typical” July pattern.  Hot & humid.  Low 90’s.  But, storms will not be plentiful.  Radar coverage will be sparse. More of a widely scattered, widely separated array of afternoon & evening showers and thunderstorms.

Some of you have had 5 to 9 inches of rain this week. I kid you not. The Montgomery airport has only recorded .05″ this week! HONEST.

TODAY: A good bit of sunshine.  Hot & humid.  High 93.  Heat index near or above 100.  Widely scattered afternoon & evening showers and thunderstorms.    Low tonight 73.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   Not much day to day change.   Very typical for July.  Low to mid 90’s each day.  Random storms every day.  Daily rain chance in the 20-40% range.

BEACH FORECAST: Finally, the chance of daily storms will start to come down a a bit today through Monday.  Scattered storms.  Watch out for lightning.  Highs in the 80’s.    Gulf water temp is 86.

TROPICAL: We are enjoying a nice quiet time in the tropics for now. We know that will change soon.

.

I’ll have another Blog update in the morning.  Have a nice weekend!
