MONDAY Update:  Fall Preview This Week – Comfortable Days, Cooler Nights

Good Morning!  Get ready for a nice Fall Preview!  Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.

TODAY:    Cool Front moves through the state today.  Cloudy this morning.  Sunshine later.  Rain chance 20% at most here in central Alabama.  30-40% in southeast Alabama.  High today 86.  If we get to 60 tonight, it will be the coolest night since last May.  Some of the models take us to the upper 50’s in Montgomery.  What a nice change!

Front Moves through central Alabama by lunchtime. It’ll be near the coast tonight and Tuesday.

Best chance of a few showers will be in SE Alabama today.

NEXT FEW DAYS:      NICE AIR behind the front.  Tuesday will be GREAT.  Lower humidity.  Most of this week looks perfect.  Sunshine.  Comfortable days and cooler nights.  This is exactly what we’ve been waiting for all summer.  We should be dry through the week and weekend.   Overnight lows in the 60’s will feel great!

Dewpoint is the key to everything.  Early this morning, as a type this, dewpoints are in the muggy 70’s.  The dewpoint will fall to the 50’s this afternoon.  Dewpoints could fall to the 40’s by Tuesday & Wednesday.   It will be quite comfortable all this week.  Get ready for a nice Fall Preview.

TROPICAL OUTLOOK:

Two Areas to Watch in the eastern Tropical Atlantic.   Both have a small 20% chance of development in the next 5 days.

The rest of the Atlantic basin is quiet for now.

The EURO shows potential areas to watch over the next 10 days in the Atlantic.
