SATURDAY Update: Late Season Cold Snap – Freeze Warning Multiple Nights

Good Morning!  It’s like an episode of the Twilight Zone.  We have another weekend Temperature Crash, and the numbers are crazy for so late in the season. We have a Freeze Warning that involves at least the next two nights, but we could easily see a freeze for the next three nights.  The daytime highs will be ridiculous for this late in the season, especially daytime Sunday. All of this on the last weekend of Winter. Monday is the 1st day of Spring.  Hang on, because we’ll back in the 70’s by Wednesday and into the 80’s on Thursday.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:    Get ready for a rather Brisk Winter’s Day today.  (But Sunday will be colder.)  Cloudy at times.  Breezy.  Chilly.  North winds 10 to 20 gusting 20+ mph.  Mostly cloudy tonight, then clearing late. FREEZE WARNING.  Low near 32 by Dawn.

SUNDAY:  Get ready for a VERY Cold Last Day of Winter.  Sunshine, breezy.  High near 50.  Clear and cold Sunday night.  FREEZE WARNING.  Low 28!  (I’m not kidding)  Alabama growers…take all necessary precautions.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Monday will be a COLD first day of Spring.  After that sub-freezing start, we’ll in the 50’s for a high. Spring begins at 4:24 PM.  And, we’ll be very CLOSE to another freeze by Dawn Tuesday.  We’ll rebound to the 60’s Tuesday, 70’s Wednesday and 80’s Thursday.  The next storm system arrives Friday.

Shocking weekend temperature crash this weekend.  “Dear Diary…”

Here’s the 10 Day Model Temperature Blend.  Hang on..   Stupid-cold weekend.  But, a nice Warm-up next week.

BEACH FORECAST:   Poor Spring Breakers….this is awful.  Windy and cold today.   Wind gusts to 25 mph today and tonight.  Low tonight 41.  Isolated showers possible.  Sunday – WINDY, COLD, on the last day of Winter.  Monday morning low mid 30’s on the First day of Spring.  Disappointing.  Shocker.

Thanks for reading this Blog this morning! I’ll have another update for you in the morning. Stay warm.  Have a nice weekend!
