THURSDAY Update:   Comfortable, Storm-Free Holiday Weekend

Good morning!    The news is good.  The sun returns today.  It should be simply beautiful.  And, I’m happy to say, I am very optimistic about the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend forecast. There will be plenty of sunshine, with warm comfortable days and mainly clear, cool nights.  Humidity will be low.  And, that’s not all.  If you are one of the thousands of family heading to the Beach this weekend, the news is very good, indeed.  You could not write a better script for one of the biggest outdoor weekends of the year.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:  The sun returns today.  It should be simply beautiful.  Plenty of sunshine.  Comfortable.  High in the low to mid 80’s.  Northeast wind 6 to 12 mph.  Clear and cool tonight.  Low in the upper 50’s.

NEXT FEW DAYS:    The news is very good for the next few days, right on through the Memorial Day weekend.  Temperatures & humidity will be very comfortable.   It still looks like the chance of any showers will be rather remote.  There will be a good bit of sunshine over the holiday weekend.   Highs in the 80’s.  Cool nights in the upper 50’s through Saturday night.  Looks like a phenomenal forecast for one of the biggest outdoor seasons of the year.

BEACH FORECAST:  At the moment I am very optimistic about the Holiday Weekend Beach Forecast.  Looks like a good but of sunshine, with comfortable temperatures.  I have removed any mention of showers for now.  Right now, it looks like an ideal Memorial Day Weekend forecast.

Hurricane Season begins next Thursday.  What kind of a season could we see this year?  I recently attended the National Tropical Weather Conference, where the world’s foremost Tropical weather experts gathered, looking for clues to how the 2023 Hurricane season could play out.  Will El Nino lead to a slower than normal season?  Or could unusually warm water off our coast might squelch the El Nino factor a bit?  I will talk about it on TV tonight.  Join me for SAFE FROM THE STORM tonight at 10 on WAKA CBS 8 and ABC 32.

By the way, the folks at NOAA Officially unveil their Hurricane Season forecast this morning at 10AM.

Thanks for reading this Blog this morning! This morning we are LIVE on the radio from 6 to 9 on NewsTalk 93.1.  Watch us on TV on CBS 8 and ABC 32.  I’ll have another update for you in the morning.  Have a nice day!
