THURSDAY UPDATE:  Front Approaches – Storm Risk Today – Lower Humidity Ahead

Good Morning!  Early this morning a hefty line of storms is moving through the state ahead of a frontal system. The risk of showers and storms will continue today and into the evening hours before frontal passage.  After the front moves through, expect lower humidity on Friday and Saturday.  Widely scattered storms are possible Sunday through Tuesday. It’s a routine June forecast.  The tropics are quiet for now.  But, what about next week? Here’s my brief forecast discussion. 

TODAY:   Early this morning a hefty line of storms is moving through the state ahead of a frontal system. The risk of showers and storms will continue today and into the evening hours before frontal passage. High in the upper 80’s.  SW wind at 5 to/ 10. The shower risk tapers off tonight behind the front.. 

FUTURE RADAR:    After the front moves through, expect lower humidity on Friday and Saturday.  Widely scattered storms are possible Sunday through Tuesday..

NEXT FEW DAYS:  After the front moves through expect lower humidity on Friday and Saturday.  Widely scattered storms are possible Sunday. Highs in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s. 

TROPICAL:   NHC says no tropical development in the next 7 days.

  The next week could be different.   The EURO is hinting the western Caribbean and southern Gulf next week.

Check out the GFS on June 14th.  Hmmmm.

BEACH FORECAST:  Routine June forecast.  Widely scattered random storms are possible.  Upper 80’s.  Gulf water 83.  Moderate Rip Current Risk.
