THURSDAY Update: Cool Sunshine Today – Warmer Weekend

Good morning from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic!   Yesterday was a raw day in central Alabama.  MGM had a high of 52 with winds gusting as high as 36 mph.  Today will not be nearly as windy, but still the highs will be running 10 degree too cold compared to normal.  Friday and Saturday will be a little milder. Saturday’s high of 63 is normal.   Next risk of scattered showers Saturday night and perhaps on Sunday.  Here’s my brief forecast video discussion.

TODAY:  Still much below normal.  Sunshine.  High 54.  NW wind 6 to 14 mph.  Partly cloudy and chilly tonight.  Low 35.

NEXT FEW DAYS: Friday and Saturday will be a little milder. Saturday’s high of 63 is normal.   Next risk of scattered showers Saturday night and perhaps on Sunday.

Here’s the 10 day Temp trend.

Expected rainfall through Wednesday shows all the big rain well west of us.

I’m on a tropical vacation for the next few days in the Dominican Republic. (a couple of snapshots below.  My blog updates will be very short. My weather will continue on the radio, across the dial on the 8 Bluewater Broadcasting stations. Bare with me.  Thanks!

I’ll have some nice snapshots for you tomorrow. Last night I did Asian. Tonight, might go to WAVES. It’s a steak house, but it also features Lobster. Then there’s the upscale French place Brando’s. Italian, Indian, Caribbean. Etc. 13 choices. Breakfast at 7 at Shutters on the beach, just after sunrise.

Much better pictures tomorow.
