Good Morning! Our nice warming trend continues. Yesterday’s high was 73. High today and tomorrow will be in the upper 70’s. We’ll be near 80 Friday. The normal hi/lo is 74/46. Even the nighttime lows are slowly start to moderate. An approaching frontal system will bring showers and storms to the state Friday and especially Friday night. Some storms could reach Severe Limits. Marginal Risk. Highs in the 70’s are still a good bet even this weekend. But stand by. MUCH Colder air is on the horizon. Expect a surge of Arctic Air will arrive by Monday. There will be a significant temperature crash. Looks like the coldest morning will probably be Tuesday with the first widespread freeze and lows in the 20’s. A shock to the system. Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.
TODAY: Sunshine, with a high near 77. Light wind. Tonight: Clear and chilly. Low 46

NEXT FEW DAYS: A big warming trend continues. We should reach the upper 70’s Thursday through Saturday. Nights continue to be quite cool. But, even the nights will slowly start to moderate. An approaching frontal system will bring showers and storms to the state Friday and especially Friday night. Some storms could reach Severe Limits. Cooler and then COLDER will follow. But not right away. Highs in the 70’s are still a good bet even Sunday. Expect a surge of Arctic Air will arrive by Monday. There will be a significant temperature crash. Looks like the coldest morning will probably be Tuesday with the first widespread freeze and lows in the 20’s.

The first front will bring showers and storms perhaps as early as Friday afternoon.

Some storms could reach Severe Limits. Marginal Risk.

A series of fronts will usher in cooler then colder air.

The Monday Jetstream.
