SPECIAL Sunday Tropical Update: Powerful Humberto and Imelda’s Potential Impact on the SE US

SPECIAL Sunday update.  First lets talk about Powerful Humberto.  With winds of 150 mph,  which is just shy of Cat 5 status.  Humberto has probably peaked in intensity.  Expected to make a right hand turn in the Atlantic. It could have a significant impact on the weather is Bermuda but probably not a direct hit.  But will Humberto’s future influence future Imelda.

Tropical Depression 9 will become Imelda soon, as it moves into the Bahamas.  Eventually this system is likely to be a Hurricane.  Latest guidance now curves this storm into the Atlantic.

Notice now the tropical spaghetti models are in better agreement of keeping Imelda off the coastline, most likely as a Cat 1 (possibly Cat 2 or 3 Hurricane), in the early to middle part of the week ahead.

And, again here’s an interesting map.  This is the EURO Ensemble Member Lows showing potential positions.  Notice now how most members are now off shore.

I’ll have a complete forecast video discussion and Blog update in the 4 o’clock hour tomorrow morning.
