WEDNESDAY Update:  Better News on the Horizon – Temperatures Will Improve

Good morning! We’re headed for another mid 90 degree day today with triple digit Heat Index, but hang on.  There’s better news in the not too distant future.    Scattered pop up PM storms will populate the radar today and Thursday.  Rain chances will get a little better by the Friday and Saturday.   Temperatures will be more reasonable by about Saturday with upper 80’s.   But, the big news involves the influx of cooler less humid air next week – especially starting Tuesday.  Conferrable, less humid days and noticeably, pleasantly cool nights.  Stand by for a nice change in a few days. Meanwhile, Monster Hurricane Erin’s fringe effects will terrorize the US Eastern Seaboard today.   Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.

TODAY: Sun/cloud mix.  High in the mid 90’s.  Heat index as high 100+ again.   Widely scattered PM Storms.   Low tonight mid 70’s.

Some of the storms could reach severe limits with damaging wind gusts. Marginal Severe Risk this afternoon and this evening.

FUTURE RADAR:    RandomWidely scattered Storms today.   But nothing crazy.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   Stand by for a nice change in a few days.   Rain chances will get a little better by Friday and Saturday.  More storms on the radar – still random.  Rain chances will get a little better by the Friday and Saturday.   Temperatures will be more reasonable by about Saturday with upper 80’s.   A cool front enters the state Monday.  Look for cooler less humid air by Tuesday and beyond.  Hang on.

Here’s the Map for next Tuesday.   Some really nice air is in our future.

Here’s the 10 Day Temperature Trend.   The big news involves the influx of cooler less humid air next week – especially starting Tuesday.  Conferrable, less humid days and noticeably, pleasantly cool nights.

TROPICAL OUTLOOK:

Monster Hurricane Erin’s fringe effects will terrorize the US Eastern Seaboard today.  It will have a tremendous wave action and rip current effect in the US East coast especially today and tomorrow, particularly the Carolinas.

Elsewhere, behind Erin in the Tropical Atlantic, there is an Area To Watch with a 60% chance of development.  And there’s a Invest 99-L off the African coast.

BEACH OUTLOOK:   Routine.   Scattered random PM Storms. Moderate Rip Current Risk.
