MONDAY Update:  Big Warm-up This Week – Showers Late Week

Good Morning!  There’s a lot of good news in our forecast, considering we are in the Dead of Winter and getting close to the Heart of the Severe Weather Season.  On this President’s Day today, and for Mardi Gras Tuesday,  there will be lots of sunshine and highs 70°+ temperatures.  On Ash Wednesday, highs will climb to the upper 70’s.  80+ is expected Thursday and Friday.   The risk for widely scattered showers begins Wednesday, becoming more likely Thursday and Friday.  No Severe weather is expected.  Here’s my video forecast discussion.

TODAY:  Clouds early will give way to a mostly sunny holiday.  High  near 70.  North wind 5 to 10.

(Normal 65/40)

TONIGHT:   Mostly Clear.  Low 48.  Wind calm.

Nice storm-free President’s Day with High pressure in control.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday looks very nice indeed.  Highs mostly low 70’s.  We’ll be in the upper 70’s Wednesday and 80 or above Thursday and Friday.  Nights will be mild.  Rish of showers begins Ash Wednesday.   Scattered showers possible Thursday.  A better chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm or two Friday.

The 10 Day model Blend Temperature Trend.  Other than one unfortunate set-back, the news is mostly very good.

Here’s the EURO 16 day Ensemble temperature outlook.  I still do not detect any pure Arctic Air.

DAYS TILL SPRING:  32 days!

Thanks for reading this Blog this morning. This morning we are LIVE on the radio from 6 to 9 on NewsTalk 93.1.  I’ll have another update for you in the 4  o’clock hour tomorrow morning.  Have a nice day.
