TUESDAY Update:  Daily Risk for PM Showers and Storms

Good morning!  There will be more showers and storms on the radar today, but not as  many as the last few days. Most showers and storms from about US 80/I-85 southward, peaking late afternoon and into the early evening before fading out.

Random Showers and storms will be most numerous in the afternoon and evening hours Wednesday and Thursday.  The highest day to day rainfall probabilities will be highest Friday through Father’s Day Sunday. Numerous showers and storms.  Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.

TODAY: Sun/Cloud mix.  High 88.  Scattered showers and storms most numerous in the afternoon and evening hours.  Low tonight 67.  Storm risk fades overnight.

A frontal system parked in north Alabama this morning, will shift to south Alabama Wednesday AM.

FUTURE RADAR:  Not as many storms expected on the radar today.  Most showers and storms from about US 80/I-85 southward, peaking late afternoon and into the early evening before fading out.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Not much day to day change.  Random Showers and storms will be most numerous in the afternoon and evening hours.  The highest day to day rainfall probabilities will be highest Friday through Father’s Day Sunday.   

Deep trough of low pressure will be the cabalist for numerous weekend showers and storms.

Expected rainfall will be heaviest across the southern half of the state next few days.

TROPICAL UPDATE:    NHC says the Atlantic Basin is quiet for the next 7 days.

FULL MOON: The full moon in June 2025, also known as the Strawberry Moon, will occur on Wednesday, June 11th, at 2:44 AM CDT. The moon will be at its peak illumination at that time. However, the best time to see it will be on Tuesday evening, June 10th, when it rises above the southeastern horizon.
