Good morning! One word describes the weather this morning. DELIGHTFUL! In Montgomery at (MGM) at 6AM it’s 59°. And the dewpoint is a very comfortable 57. Believe you me, between now and the end of September, there won’t be many if any perfect mornings like this. ENJOY!
The weather news for the next few days is good. Today through Friday will feature lot of sun with low humidity days and pleasantly cool nights. The next risk of widely scattered showers and storms arrives Saturday and Sunday. A few stronger storms are possible. Memorial day could be rather wet and stormy by afternoon. And, more scattered showers and storms will stick around Tuesday and Wednesday. Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.
NWS Birmingham Meteorologists found damage in Bullock County Wednesday morning at 4am consistent with a tornado preliminary rated an EF-1 with maximum winds of 105 mph. Most of the damage was along County Road 185. Further details will be released later today as the survey team completes their damage evaluation. Another team re heading to St. Clair, Calhoun, Cleburne counties. Three confirmed tornadoes across north Alabama.
TODAY: Mostly sunny. Comfortable humidity. High 87. Clear, comfortable humidity tonight. Cooler. Low lower 60’s.
NEXT FEW DAYS: The next risk of scattered storms begins Saturday and Sunday. So far, the Memorial Day forecast looks potentially wet and stormy, especially by afternoon. Scattered showers and storms will stick around Tuesday and Wednesday
