Good Morning! Some of you experienced some strong storms late Friday. There were a few severe thunderstorm warnings. Most towns stayed dry. Today, the chance of any showers or storms will be generally under 20%. Very small indeed today and on Sunday. Very warm temperatures continue. It’ll feel more like early June than late April. By Monday, through the end of the month on Wednesday, highs are likely to reach 90 or above. The probability of any significant rainfall in he week ahead is rather small. The threat of severe weather is close to zero.
TODAY: Partial sunshine. Very Warm. Rain chance under 20%. Light wind.Very mild tonight. Low 65. (Normal hi/lo 81/55)

Future Radar: Rain chances are not zero, but very small, indeed. Under 20%. Here’s an example of hi-res future radar late this afternoon.

NEXT FEW DAYS: Little day to day change. Spotty random showers/storms are possible Sunday, with the probability relatively small at any location. By Monday, through the end of the month on Wednesday, highs are likely to reach 90 or above.

Here’s the expected rainfall for the next 7 days. Not much rain at all. The Montgomery Airport has not has measurable rain in 15 days.

Here’s the 10 day model blend temperature trend.

LONG RANGE BIG COOL DOWN?: Interesting. NWS points out – By next weekend, guidance is
presenting a very good chance for much cooler temperatures as a
longwave trough develops over much of the eastern CONUS and a
late-season Continental Polar airmass dives southward. If that
forecast trend holds up over the next couple of days, it won`t be
time to put away that light jacket just yet – as we could be
looking at lows in the 40s and 50s by daybreak next Sunday.
TALLADEGA RACE WEEKEND: It’s a pretty routine Talladega Race Weekend forecast with partly cloudy skies today and Sunday. Morning lows in the upper 50’s. Afternoon Highs in the low to mid 80’s. Afternoon rain chance 20% both days.

BEACH OUTLOOK: Nice forecast. In fact, a great forecast this weekend. Unfortunately, there is a high rip current risk especially from Destin to about Panama City today. Moderate elsewhere. The Gulf Water temperature has warmed to 77.

Thanks for reading the blog. The next scheduled full blog will be Monday morning, Have a nice weekend!
