A Tornado Watch covers much of central and west Alabama  till 10AM.  The watch extends as far east as Autauga, Elmore and Tallapoosa counties.  While the watch does not currently include Montgomery, additional watches are a good bet later today as a strong line of storms moves eastward.

 A couple of tornadoes are possible.  Scattered wind gusts to 70 mph are likely. Hail up to ping pong size is possible.  Please make sure to allow notifications on our Weather App, and make sure your Weather Radio is plugged up and in the alert mode.  Do not depend on Weather Sirens.  If you live in a manufactured or mobile home, be ready to go to a more substantial structure.
