Good Morning! Dense Fog will be a problem across much of central and south Alabama through 9AM. Otherwise, expect vast improvement as this day unfolds. It will be comfortably warm for the next few days with highs in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s. We are expecting dry, storm-free weather through Friday. This weekend we have our eyes on a two-part storm system Saturday through perhaps Monday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has the whole region in a level 2 Severe Risk for Sunday night into early Monday. The exact timing of the main threat is yet to be determined. Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.
TODAY: DENSE FOG ADVISORY till 9. Sun/cloud mix. Warm. High near 80. Light wind. Clear, not as cool tonight. Low 52.

A weakening front is stretched across south Alabama. It’ll have little or no impact on today’s weather. Skies will become mostly sunny by mid-day and afternoon.

NEXT FEW DAYS: Just a beautiful work week of weather..Storm-free & dry. Abundant sunshine. Comfortably warm each day. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s each day through Saturday. Lows at night will range from the upper 40’s to the 50’s. (Normal 74/48). Looks like we’ll be dealing with another Severe Weather Threat this weekend, probably Sunday night into early Monday. The Storm Prediction Center already has at least a Level 2 risk, and we are several days out.

NEXT SEVERE WEATHER RISK: Details are still sketchy, especially on timing but when SPC issues a Severe Weather Risk this many days out, you take notice. Looks like we’ll be dealing with another Severe Weather Threat this weekend, probably Sunday night into early Monday.

Here’s the 10 day model blend temperature trend. The warmth is locked in for the next several days.

POLLEN: Looks like pollen will continue to be a major issue for the next several days.

Thanks for reading this blog update. This morning everything is normal. We’ll be LIVE on NewsTalk 93.1. There will be another Blog Update and Forecast Video discussion in the 4’o’clock hour tomorrow morning. Have a good day.
