WEEKEND  Update:  Last Day of Fall – Spring-like Christmas Forecast

Good Morning!  Our weekend forecast looks pretty good, as Fall officially ends today and Winter begins Sunday. Saturday looks dry with a sun/cloud mix.  There could be some widely scattered showers Sunday as a weak front moves through the state.  Christmas week looks storm-free, dry with a warming trend.  An upper ridge of high pressure will promote some spring-like warmth.  We should be in the lower 70’s on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Very nice. Quite Comfortable.

TODAY:  Sunny and mild. High near 65.  Increasing clouds tonight. Not as chilly.  Low 43.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy. Limited sunshine. Widely scattered showers. High 64. Low at night near 50.

NEXT FEW DAYS:    Saturday looks dry with a sun/cloud mix.  There could be some isolated showers Sunday as a weak front moves through the state.  Christmas week looks storm-free, dry with a warming trend.  We’ll be in the lower 70’s by Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  40’s at night next week.

An Amazing ridge of upper ridge of high pressure will be in control. Temperatures over the America Heartland will be running 25-30 degrees above normal.

Take a look at the projected high temperatures across the Southeast US Christmas afternoon.  Very nice.

WINTER BEGINS SUNDAY:  The Winter Solstice is tomorrow.   Winter officially begins 9:03 AM Sunday morning. Shortest day of the year:   10 hours 1 minute and 33 seconds of daylight.  Monday will be one second longer.

NEXT BIG DEAL?:  This New Years Eve Storm system looks interesting.  We have a long time to watch it.
