Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch that covers most of north and central Alabama. It goes as far south as Lowndes, Montgomery and Barbour counties. Tornadoes, damaging thunderstorm wind gusts 60+ mph and hail up to Tennis ball size are possible.
Here’s a couple of future radar snapshots. Thunderstorms develop over west Alabama, reach central AL just before 5PM and just about exits the state by 9PM in the east.
