Happy Friday! Mostly dry, hot & humid today. But, be flexible if you have weekend plans. A series of disturbances will bring an increasing chance of rain, beginning with scattered showers Saturday afternoon, to even better chances as the weekend rolls on. Rainfall amounts could be excessive in spots. I’ll show you 2 model estimates, which will raise eyebrows. In fact, the next several days could be wet at times. I’ll walk you through the weekend details on a very interesting Friday morning personal weather briefing. It’s worth your time.
Hot & humid like a July day today, and yet it’s only May. Rain chances are not quite zero…but only about 10%. A stray shower is certainly possible. The dewpoint is ridiculous. Near 70 as I create this post at 4:30AM. Very humid.
Rain chances begin to increase Saturday afternoon (50-60%), but increase to 60% Saturday night, and 70% Sunday and Sunday night. Rain chances remain in the forecast Monday – Wednesday, too.
Total Rainfall next 5 days could be rather excessive. Here’s a peak at just two models: The American GFS and the Euro model. The Euro goes crazy with the numbers…wow!
Hopefully the rain will help bust the Moderate Drought covering our area. here’s the New Drought monitor which came out yesterday.
