MEMORIAL DAY: Showers At Times – Not a Wash Out

I don’t think your outdoor BBQ plans need to be cancelled.  Just be flexible. Have a Plan B ready.  Showers and storms will be around from time to time.  The computer models have had an awful time deciphering this weather situation.  It does appear, however, clusters of storms will be around at times with large lulls in between. Details below.

MEMORIAL DAY – Today:  Not a “wash out”, but a pretty significant chance of showers/storms from time to time just about any time.  I still have kept the rain chance at 60%.  High 85.  A couple storms could be strong.  I’m not expecting any organized severe weather.

FUTURE RADAR:  Here’s a peak at the most trusted of the hi-res future radar models.  But, I would caution you.  DO NOT take theses literally.  These models have had an awful, miserable time with the details this particular weather pattern.  I show you these merely as guidance.  It suggests a pretty good chance of getting wet late morning through early afternoon, followed by more “scattered” activity later in the afternoon & into early evening, followed by improved rain chances tonight.

SEVERE WEATHER RISK:  Once again today, SPC has most of the state in a Marginal Severe Risk.  A few storms could reach severe limits.  Greatest threat would be wind damage/hail.  I do not, however, expect an organized severe risk today or tonight.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Here’s the forecast through Thursday.  Chance of showers every day, but the best rain chances from Today through Tuesday. Then the shower threat will thin our late week.

Have a great Memorial Day.  Do not forget the reason for this holiday. So many have given so much sacrifice, so that we can be free.   I will have another video for you tomorrow.  It should be online before 5AM. Be safe, but have fun!
