Briefly, the heat will be the main complaint on this 4th of July holiday. Yesterday we reached triple digits on the heat index, and today we will do it again. Our high will reach the middle 90’s with the heat index 100-105. Stay hydrated! Make sure you have plenty of sunscreen on. Rain chances are not quite zero, but only about 10%. In the evening, for Firework festivities, the heat index will still be teetering in the upper 90s to near 100 at 5PM, with the actual temperature falling to about 86 at 9PM, fireworks time. Remember, alcohol dehydrates you, it does not hydrate. The big high pressure heat bubble above us will persist for another couple of days, before it breaks down and shower chances return late week and into the weekend.
Hope you have a safe and wonderful holiday! I’ll have a complete video for you in the morning. My alarm is set for 2. Your video will be online by about 4:45AM. Happy Fourth!
