We have had quite a journey this week…from Monday morning frost to almost a summer-like weekend forecast ahead. Although, we are basically storm free for a few days, a few minor disturbances will brush by the area today and Saturday. Some widely scattered showers and possibly thunderstorms are possible, but no widespread rain is expected and temperatures will continue to be very warm for early November, right on through the weekend, and early next week. The next cold front arrives mid week.
TODAY: Some patchy morning fog in spots, but otherwise a partly sunny, very warm early November day. We had 80 yesterday and I think we will be around 82 today. I can’t rule out an isolated shower or thundershower today, but I think they will be few and far between. Low tonight, a very mild 62. Normal high and low 73 and 48. FULL MOON out there. It’s called The Hunter’s moon in November.
THE HEAT GOES ON..NEXT FEW DAYS: More early November warmth through the weekend. Should be a great weekend for the finals days of the Alabama fair. We will be in the low 80’s through Tuesday. Small 20% rain chance today & Saturday, otherwise, mostly dry until the next cold front approaches by mid week.
COLD FRONT NEXT WEEK: Hang on cold weather fans! Looks like the next cold front will arrive Wednesday night, followed by sharply cooler temps for late week and into the following weekend. Looks like sharply cooler air.

THANK YOU! No video this morning. There was a Celebration Event for my 40th year Montgomery Broadcasting Anniversary last night. I slept in just a little longer this morning. Thanks to all of you for very mind messages to me yesterday. Hundreds of messages. It will take me all weekend to read them all. One of the big surprises of the day is when Mayor Todd Strange came in with his proclamation making November 2nd forever Rich Thomas Day in Montgomery. WOW. What an amazing, overwhelming day. Thanks to all of you who came out to the celebration last night, too. I feel humbled and honored. Thank you!
More blog posts over the weekend. Next video Monday morning.
