Good Morning! Winter weather issues across the south this morning. For us, we will thankfully miss a winter storm, but not by much. Our big story continues to be the prolonged arctic cold. In fact, another surge of Arctic air reinforcements is on the way. I’ll look ahead to a bit of a warming trend a few days out, and the next storm system on the way. Lots of good information on your Wednesday morning personal weather briefing.
We are going to miss a significant winter storm, but it will be a very close call. Parts of north Florida, and south Georgia are seeing freezing rain problems this morning. This storm will be a big headline maker as it moves up the east coast dumping more than a foot of snow on New England.
It’s SO RARE when you see a Winter storm warning covering much of north Florida, south Georgia and up through the Carolinas. This storm will create a lot of headlines and headaches today.
Next storm system will bring showers and maybe some thunderstorms to the state Monday as temperatures warm to near 60.
The models area advertising some warmer days ahead, beginning Sunday, and continuing next week. Keep your fingers crossed.
