SUNDAY UPDATE:  Much Milder This Week – Late Week Storm System

Harsh winter weather is on hold for next several days – Nationwide.  Temperatures will average near normal or above normal coast to coast and border to border.  Monday and Tuesday will be the BEST days in the next 10.  We have a rather wet late week storm system on the way Wednesday night through Friday morning.  Below, I have the Christmas Day forecast.  Read on…

TODAY:  A cloudy, gloomy morning, should give way to a brighter afternoon, with at least partly to mostly skies later.  Cool today, but now cold.  High 55.  Low tonight 41.  Northwest wind at 6 – 12 mph.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Just beautiful for December on Monday & Tuesday!   Highs will be well into the 60’s.  (Normal high 59, normal low 37)  Storm approaches by mid to late week.  Best rain chance will be Wednesday night until Friday AM.  Friday will be the chilliest day of the week.  Highs may not reach 50.  But that cooling trend will not last long.

CHRISTMAS OUTLOOK:  We’ll take a more in dept Christmas Forecast over the next few days.  But, for now, it appears we will be in between storm systems.  I’ll call it partly cloudy.  The cold, harsh air will still be locked up in Canada.  So, it cools like a fairly mild Christmas.  Morning low 43.  Christmas Day high 57.  Low Christmas night 47.

Who will see a White Christmas?  Folks spending Christmas in the Smoky mountains in east Tennessee may indeed see snow on the ground Christmas morning!   Here in Alabama, I would say the chances to zero.

I will have you a complete video update Monday morning online by 4:45AM.  We’ll get deeper into the details of the week ahead, and more details on the Christmas forecast.  Have a great Sunday!
