SATURDAY UPDATE:  Nice Fall Weekend – But, ARCTIC Air Just 3 Days Away

Good morning!  It’s a chilly, frosty Saturday morning, much like last Saturday.  Much of north Alabama has a freeze warning this morning.  But, for most of us, reading this blog update, our first freeze will be Tuesday night and it will be a “doosey”.

Get ready for another beautiful Fall Weekend, like last weekend.  60’s today and tomorrow.  30’s again tonight.  Veterans Day will be warm & comfortable.  But, stand by.  We have drastically colder air on the way, as the first Arctic Cold Front of the season sweeps into the state early in the week.  Keep reading.

This “Loop” below shows the advance of the Arctic Cold from early Monday morning through Wednesday.  Much of the nation will be in the Deep Freeze.  A brutal assault from Canada.

TODAY:  A Great fall day.  Sunshine will dominate. Not as breezy as yesterday. NE wind at 9 to 14.   High in the lower 60’s.  Low tonight in the upper 30’s.

FOOTBALL WEATHER:  Forgive me if I just focus on the BIG game in our state today.  It’s in Tuscaloosa at 2:30 pm.

Early this morning, as I type this, it’s 30 degrees with a Freeze Warning in Tuscaloosa.  It will be a Sunny and cool today.  40s around mid morning. Gametime temperature in the upper 50’s.  Chilly by the end of the game, with upper 40’s.  Wind will not be a factor.

 

ARCTIC COLD FRONT ARRIVES TUESDAY:  If you think it’s cold now..”You ain’t seen nothing yet.” The first Arctic Blast of the season is 3 days away.   You don’t have to be Einstein to see where the cold front will be Monday night at 9PM.

Tuesday’s high will struggle to reach 45. Wednesday’s morning low will fall to the mid 20’s with Wind Chill in the teens. Get ready for a change of wardrobe

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Sunday, after a chilly start, will warm up nicely into the upper 60’s.  Monday, Veterans Day will be comfortably warm and dry.  High 71.  Then, rain comes in out ahead of the Arctic cold font Monday night into Tuesday morning.  Tuesday will be a raw winter’s day, when the morning low and afternoon high will both ne in the mid 40’s.  Windy and drastically colder.  Mid 20’s Wednesday morning.  Upper 40’s Wednesday afternoon.  Chance of rain Thursday as a disturbance brushes by the area.

I may or may not have a blog update around Sunday morning.  I Might take a rare day off.  We’ll see.   Have a nice weekend!   Enjoy this great Fall weather.
