Heat Expands – Weekend Record Threatened? – THURSDAY Video

Good Morning!  Alabama is heating up.  Looks like we have some even hotter days on the menu through the weekend.  It will feel more like late June.  We could be in Record High territory by Sunday.  What about rain chances?  Will scattered showers return by Monday?  It depends on which model you believe. Meanwhile, off the Southeast US coastline, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring a pre-season system which could become a Depression or maybe Tropical Storm Arthur.  I’ll show the latest.

Alabama continues to heat.  We’ll be upper 80’s to near 90.

Warming trend will continue as the upper high pressure ridge continues to build.

We’re getting a little hotter each day through the weekend.  We could tie or break the record high of 93 Sunday.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms Monday.

Disturbance on Monday gives us some hope for scattered showers and thunderstorms.  That would be nice.   We sure need the rain.

Pre-season tropical development possible off the US coastline over the weekend.  Could see a Depression or maybe even Tropical Storm Arthur.  The system will move northeast and will not affect the US coastline.
