More Scattered Storms – Drier Weekend Ahead – THURSDAY Video

Good Morning!  Again today & tomorrow, the radar will be active with scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon & evening hours.  But, hang on, this unsettled pattern will soon end.  The weekend forecast calls for more sun, and smaller rain chances.  That also will spell some hotter days.  I have updated the weekend details for here and the Gulf Coast Beaches. We’ll take a look at the tropics. Are there anymore surprises?

The Storm Prediction Center has the area in a Marginal Severe Risk.  Damaging wind gusts are the main threat.

Storms thin out Saturday.  Then it’s clear sailing Sunday through Tuesday as Alabama dries out.

Another upper Ridge builds which spells drier and hotter days.

Good chance on getting wet Friday at the beach.  But then storms thin out for a few days.

Bertha is now a tropical depression over NC.  Bug rain prtoducer.
