Good Morning! There were a few impressive afternoon thunderstorms in east central Alabama yesterday, and some more widely scattered storms will pop up today and tomorrow, especially across the eastern counties. I have your updated details for the week ahead, through Father’s Day.
Circulation around an Upper Low will be the spark for so e spotty storms again today.
Once again today, the best rain chance will be across the eastern counties.
Some stronger storms are possible in east Alabama. A marginal Severe Risk begins at the Georgia border.
Rain chance remains mostly small and spotty this week. We start heating up late week, and especially this weekend.
A building upper ridge will spell some hotter days this weekend. Perhaps mid 90’s Saturday and Father’s Day Sunday.
The Summer solstice is Saturday.
The tropics are quiet this week.
