Good Morning! Be flexible with your weekend outdoor plans. The rain chances are getting better and better. Showers and storms will be numerous, especially this weekend and into early next week, as deep tropical moisture engulfs the state. Speaking of the tropics, we are now tracking no less than six systems in the Atlantic. Which of those systems do we most need to worry about? I have the latest from the National Hurricane Center.
SIX systems we are tracking in the Atlantic now. Paulette and Rene looks like they are curving into the open Atlantic. New areas to watch.
Latest Area to Watch east of the Bahamas could possibly develop in the Gulf. It currently has a 20% chance. That Area to Watch in the far eastern Atlantic is the one which bothers me the most. It could become Sally. Could this system be a U.S. Threat in the 10- to 14 day range?
Scattered storms today as the Tropical Moisture starts to move into the the state.
Rain chances are getting better and better next few days. Easily 60-70% Saturday through Monday.
Take a book to the Beach. You might need it at times. Be flexible.
