Good morning! Welcome to November. Welcome to Central Standard Time.
Right on schedule, as November begins, another Cold Front is sweeping through our state today. It will deliver the coolest air so far. Alabama will be in the 30’s by Tuesday morning, Election Day.
The news for the week ahead is very good. The first week of November will feature comfortably cool, storm-free days, and chilly nights. Jacket weather. On this blog update, I’ll take you through the week ahead, and we’ll look ahead to a warming trend next weekend.
Meanwhile, we have reached a record in the tropics. ETA, in the Caribbean, is now the farthest we have ever gone in the Greek Alphabet. It is destined to become the season’s next hurricane.
TODAY: Becoming Mostly Sunny. As the cool front sweeps southward during the day, it will be breezy day. North winds at 10 to 20. Tonight, on the first night of November: Mostly clear. Coldest night of the season so far. Low near 40.

NEXT FEW DAYS: A great first week of November. Storm-free for several days. Cold nights, comfortable days. Coldest morning will be Tuesday, Election Day. The weather on Election Day will be nearly perfect.
Look for some nice warming late this week an through the weekend. Followed by, what looks like another cool-down the following week.
TROPICAL STORM ETA: Eta, is a minimal Tropical Storm in the Caribbean, south of Jamaica, expected to become a hurricane on Monday. It is aiming for central America is roughly 48 hours. ETA now becomes the RECORD for number of named storms in one year…28, and the farthest we have ever gone into the Greek Alphabet. Are we done? Hurricane season continues until November 30th. THETA is the next name. The 2020 Hurricane Season has reached so many records.
