Welcome to December, and the first widespread freeze across the area. We’re in the 20’s this morning, and it’s likely we’ll be at least as cold tonight. This first day of December will be rather chilly. Normal high is 64, today we will not make it out of the 40’s. The breeze will make it seem colder. We’ll look ahead to a late week disturbance which will bring rain back to the area. And, what about the weekend? There are at least a couple of question marks.
What a shock to the system after we’ve been so spoiled for so long. ARCTIC cold dominates the Southeast US. Temps are running about 16 degrees TOO COLD for this time of the year. First widespread freeze of the season.
We will probably not make it out of the 40’s today. That breeze sure won’t help. Back to the 20’s tonight.
We could be in the mid 20’s by Dawn Wednesday. Wind chill should not be a factor.
Storm system brings the threat of light rain to the area late Thursday, Thursday night into part of the day Friday.
The normal High this time of year is 64. We will be no where near that next few days. BUT, we will be back to the upper 50’s on Thursday and Friday. Cooler Saturday. Nice recovery Sunday.
