Good Morning! On this MLK holiday, we have a nice forecast, featuring lots of sunshine. There’s a big pattern change ahead. Warmer days and nights are on the way. Showers will return later in the week. And, periods of showers will be around, at times, for much of the week ahead.
Nice MLK holiday today. Lots of sunshine. Not much wind. Headed close to the freeze mark, one more time tonight.
This week, an upper ridge of high pressure will build. That will lead to warmer days and milder nights.
Tuesday is dry. Wednesday is probably dry, but we may have to add showers, as a front enters north Alabama and stalls. Showers likely Thursday and Friday. Saturday, the best rain chance will be closer to the front near the coast.
According to what we know now, some of the heaviest rainfall amounts between now and Saturday will be in central Alabama.
Looks like the Artic Flood Gates will be closed for the next few days. A much milder pattern is in the cards.
