Good Morning! It’s been a long time since we’ve had any rain on the radar. But, lo and behold, there should be some “blips” on the radar, starting this afternoon. In fact, an approaching front will bring a better chance of scattered showers and thundershowers Friday and Friday night. What about the rest of the weekend? Will the front move all the way through? I’ll keep in a small shower risk Saturday, but I have removed the rism on Sunday. But, on this video, I’ll show you a very optimistic Memorial Day Holiday forecast for here and the coast. There may not be much rain, but I’ll show you what areas could see the most rain. We’re less than 5 days away from Hurricane Season. We’ll see if there’s anything out there to worry about.
It will be a little “sticker” today. Dewpoints in the upper 60’s Add some afternoon heating and ..bingo, a few random showers and storms will start to pop up on the radar. Good luck. Some towns will get some precious raindrops.
Right now, i have the risk of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast on Friday, and I’ll hang on to a small chance on Saturday, but I have removed the mention of rain on Sunday and Memorial Day Monday. Cooler over the weekend. Highs in the 80’s. Upper 80’s on Memorial Day.
Moderate Rip Current Risk Friday and Saturday. Lower risk on Sunday and Monday. Spotty showers and storms are possible with the front, but not a bad weekend Beach Forecast. Gulf water temperature teasing 80 degrees.
My Safe From The Storm feature airs tonight at 10 on CBS 8 and ABC 32. I’ll be talking about changes this year for the upcoming Hurricane Season. We’re getting close. The season starts Tuesday. Join me tonight on the Alabama news network.
