Good Morning! Some refinements in the forecast should make a lot of folks happy. First, the odds of your town getting wet today/tonight are better now. And, the cool front, which is bringing the rain to the state, will make it all the way into the Gulf this weekend. That means, cooler, less humid air will dominate the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. That’s not all. The Beach Forecast just got a little better, too. I’ll break down the Holiday Weekend details on this video.
A southward moving cool front will swing through the state today and tonight. A band of much needed showers and storms will precede the front.
A few storms could be on the strong side this afternoon and into the evening hours. SPC has a large part of the state in a Marginal Severe Weather Risk. Damaging winds would be the main threat.
The weekend forecast just got better. The front will make it all the way to the coast by tomorrow morning. Cooler, less humid air overspreads the area tomorrow.
Nice Memorial Day Holiday Weekend Forecast. Cooler, less humid. We’ll be in the 50’s by dawn Sunday. Risk of showers returns Tuesday & Wednesday.
Down on the coast, showers and storms move in tonight and linger part of the day Saturday. Then, after the front moves through, the rest of the weekend looks nice. Moderate rip current risk today & Saturday. A lower risk is expected by Sunday and Monday.
