SUNDAY UPDATE: Beautiful Holiday Weekend Weather

Good Morning!   Our remarkable, and rare, cool Memorial Day Weekend pattern continues.  By Dawn, many cities and towns will be in the lower 50’s.  That’s about 13-15 degrees below normal.  (The record low of 48 from 1989 should be safe)    If you liked Saturday,  you’ll love today.  Sunshine, low humidity and a nice breeze continues.  Memorial Day Monday will be warm and dry with tolerable humidity.

We should be dry through Wednesday, but starting mid-week, we’ll be getting into an active weather pattern.  Rain chances will be running high, especially Thursday, Friday, through next weekend and beyond.

We hit the jackpot on Holiday Weekend weather, here in Alabama.  Many parts of our country are having an AWFUL Memorial Day weekend.  The worst weather is in the northeast, Rainy, windy and cold.  Severe weather threatens parts of the plains and southern Rockies.  South Florida has a Marginal Severe Weather Risk.   But, in Alabama, it’s nearly perfect.  Enjoy!

TODAY:  Just beautiful.  Abundant sunshine.  Comfortable.  Low humidity.  High 82.  Nice northwest breeze at 6 to 12.  Clear and pleasantly Cool again tonight.  Low 57.

MEMRIAL DAY:  Perfect day for a trip to the Lake, grilling in the backyard, and really nice on the Gulf coast.  Here in central Alabama, sunshine, low humidity…a nice holiday.  High 89.  Light wind.  Clear Monday night.  Low 64.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  June begins Tuesday.  We’ll be in the lower 90’s Tuesday and Wednesday.  Showers and thunderstorms are back in the forecast, plus lots of humidity, Thursday and Friday.

NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN:   Showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast, plus lots of humidity Thursday and Friday.  And, it looks like the wet and active pattern will continue through next weekend and beyond.

BEACH FORECAST:  GREAT forecast continues on the coast.  Just about perfect through Memorial Day.  Risk of spotty storms returns Tuesday.  Better rai chances later next week.  Gulf water temperature is 80.   Low Rip current risk from Gulf Shores to about Fort Walton Beach today.  Moderate risk from just east of Destin through Panama City.  Tomorrow, low rip current risk expected from Gulf Shores to Panama City.

I’ll have a complete video update tomorrow morning.  Enjoy this beautiful Memorial Day weekend!
