Good Morning! It’s the so called “Dog Days of Summer”. Very little day to day change. Get ready for a weekend sizzler: Hot and Humid with highs into the 90’s and the Heat Index will be near or above 100 through Sunday. Random afternoon & evening storms will dot the Alabama landscape. It will be feast or famine. Some towns may see over an inch of rain. Many towns won’t get any rain. It’s the luck of the draw. Rain chances get quite a bit better starting Monday through Wednesday. Storms will be more numerous.
Today will be similar to yesterday. Highs in the low to mid 90’s. Triple digit heat index. Scattered random storms.

Just a routine weekend on the beach weatherwise. Scattered random storms at times. High in the mid 80’s Gulf water temperature 84. Moderate rip current risk from the Alabama beaches east to about Destin. High rip current risk from east of Destin to Panama City and beyond.
Things are still amazingly quite in the tropics for now.
