Good Morning! Extreme heat, humidity and scattered storms continue to be the main story. A Heat Advisory is back in the forecast today, and I would not be surprised if the advisory will be extended through tomorrow and Friday, too. Heat indices today could be as high as 107. Tomorrow may be hotter. Storms were quite numerous yesterday. Today, the radar won’t be quite as busy. And, by Thursday and Friday, storms will be hard to find at all. They will become rather sparse for a few days. How long will the intense heat last. We’ll take a peek into the first week of August. Plus, I have the latest on the Beach Forecast for the weekend and an update on the Tropics.
The big story continues to be the extreme heat and humidity. Heat Advisory in effect. High in the mid 90’s. Heat index as high as 107 today. Mid 70’s tonight. Scattered storms.
Theses maps speak for themselves. The Heat Index will be in dangerous territory today and Thursday.
Thursday and Friday will be the hottest days of the summer so far. Storms will become sparse through Saturday. Rain chances slightly better by Sunday.
Pretty typical Beach Forecast for the weekend. Scattered random storms. Moderate Rip Current Risk from about Destin eastward.
