EARLY MORNING UPDATE:
Good morning! We have an active weather day ahead as a front enters NW Alabama this morning and moves through central Alabama late tonight, and closer to the coast Thursday. Ahead of the front showers and storms will be numerous today and this evening. Lower humidity behind the front, will make for a nice change, especially Thursday through Saturday. Nights will be cooler. So, what about Invest 91-L in the Gulf? Will the front pick up the disturbance and carry it away from us?
The “cool” front enters NW Alabama this morning, reaching central Alabama late tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will become father numerous, especially with the interaction with the tropical system approaching the coast.
Be prepared for scattered random heavy downpours and lots of lightning. Here’s a couple of Future Radar snapshots.
INVEST 91-L in the Gulf will likely be picked up from the Front as the Low moves northeast. The system has a better chance of development after it cuts across the Southeast states into the Atlantic. Could become a sub-tropical system, perhaps.
Elsewhere in the Tropics, Major hurricane Larry will bypass Bermuda tomorrow and head for the Canadian maritime providences.
After the front moves through, look for lower humidity Thursday through Saturday especially. Cooler nights. Dry. Sunday will be more humid. Scattered storms return Monday.
The front which will deliver showers and storms to the state today & tonight, will usher in some much lower humidity. Here’s a sample of Dewpoints Friday PM, from the EURO model. If these numbers verify, there will be dancing in the streets of Prattville.
